Ya habibi Ya Jnoub

Ya Habibi Ya Jnoub comes from a feeling of deep love and helplessness—the feeling of watching something you love dearly being hurt and betrayed.

Inspired by the lyrics of Julia Boutros, the artwork speaks to the South of Lebanon as if it were someone you love, someone you want to hold and protect. “Ya Habibi” becomes an expression of tenderness, sorrow, and love: a way of saying, my beloved, I see what you are going through. I wish I could hold you.
